    Peter working hard!

I had thought to give quite a detailed breakdown tonight but as we are still in quite a fluid position I think it is probably better to dissect everything after the finish of the offer say on the following Sunday or Monday.

We are still steadily, albeit more slowly now, moving forward. I guess the heady days of £10k per day are over but we are still seeing on average around £3k flowing in, which if it continues will put us pretty close to our first target.

This week we managed to upload everything onto Microgenius so it is reflecting an accurate overview of held funds. Thus since Sunday the core fund rose by £11,950 to £171,500. Do remember still quietly looming on the horizon are two other piles of money. The first is the pledges – currently sitting at £11,250. While behind them sit a number of vaguer sums yet to be agreed with various people. For a variety of reasons these people cannot commit this week & one or two may not next either but all are interested, indeed committed, to investing. And last but by no means least I can report Dr Karl’s cheque arrived this afternoon from the US so he becomes our first US investor. Incidentally Karl explained that back in the 80’s when he was a student Dr in Winchester Hospital he teamed up with a group of interns from Southampton University who introduced him to the wonders of the British Pub & Real Ale. He says the Pub is an institution unique to this country & that we should never underestimate the benefits it brings to the community which all can share-what a wise Doctor!

Still building, we now have 130 investors of whom around 110 are from this village. One odd observation I have made is that the nearer the pub people are living the greater the investment – not just in population density but by levels of investment. Weirdly 4 out of the five top investing households in the village are within a five minute walk of the Case-which in hindsight I guess has the logic of convenience behind it.

As usual do watch Stewart’s board or Microgenius. Obviously do continue to spread the word although I cannot imagine that there is anyone left in Bentley who is not aware of us by now & so if you haven’t then do & if you have then why not a bit more!

So as the sands of destiny drain away the last ten days of hope – while the enthusiastic elves of pub-land rush to build a future – both watched by the turkeys of doom – who fail to see the stuffing of fate awaiting them! I wish you all well until my next report after the weekend.
