If you have questions we haven’t answered – please let us know!
Do you have a children’s menu ?
We can produce a smaller portion of most dishes, or cook something simple to your child’s taste. We also offer accompanied children free squash, and there is a large fenced garden for children to play.
Are dogs welcome ?
Dogs on leads and under close control are welcome. They are allowed in the bar, but are excluded from the dining room. We have a dog drinking bowl outside the front door.
Can you cook for special dietary needs ?
Yes. It does help if we know about your needs in advance. We will produce something that meets your needs. Similarly, if you want a smaller portion, just ask.
What hours do you keep ?
See the “pub hours page” – essentially Wednesday to Sunday.
Can you cater for large parties?
Yes – we regularly host, e.g., walking groups. For more than 10 people, please ask for our group menu. We’ll need you to pre-order, so we can guarantee we can meet your needs.
How do we book ?
Please ring the pub, or see the Contacts page.
How accessible is the pub for a wheelchair user ?
The pub is almost all on one level (we’ve removed the awkward step in the bar floor !). There is a modern fully accessible lavatory, with easy level access to the bar and dining room. One of our front doors is extra wide, and has flat access for wheel chairs. The path from the pub car park (between the pub and the shop) has been paved, and now offers good access from the car park to the pub.
Is there a carpark ?
Yes, a large carpark to the rear of the pub building.
Do you cater for wakes, weddings, etc?
Yes. We are very happy to host such occasions outside pub hours (Mondays and Tuesdays except bank holidays) when the whole pub is available, and we can also block book part of the pub at other times, or possibly offer a marquee in the summer. We can bring in outside caterers, provide food in house, or discuss you bringing your own food in – and of course the bar will be available! See the Food and Drink menu above.
What about locking my bicycle ?
You are welcome to lock your bicycle to the pub front fence – its strong and visible from many places inside. There are three “Sheffield” bicycle stands in front of the shop, in the pub car park.
