On Thursday 6th June the whole country will be commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day. D-Day was a huge turning point in World War II and marked the beginning of Operation Overlord. After this the Allied forces were able to send troops back to Europe and could start to free countries such as France and Belgium. The Case will be commemorating this special occasion with the rest of the country by lighting our Lamp Light of Peace. This event will coincide with the lighting of the beacons throughout the United Kingdom at 9:15pm. Do join us in marking this historic occasion.
