On Sunday 5th July a brand new event will be happening in Bentley. Thanks to a group of dedicated car enthusiasts, Bentley is holding it’s first ever car show. There will be lots of interesting vehicles to see – cars, tractors, motorbikes, scooters and commercial vehicles – all parked on the playing field next to the pub. To support this exciting new occasion the Case will be open a little earlier than usual for refreshments (from 11am) and staying open a little longer (until 3:30pm) although the car show itself will wrap up at 3pm. There will also be a BBQ and live music in the pub garden. The shop will be open until 3 pm and teas and coffees will also be available from in front of the shop during the event.

Entry is free but all donations received during this event will be added to the pot for our new Charity of the Year – the Ipswich Hospital Diabetes and Endocrine Centre.

The BBQ will be serving from 12 noon – 2:30pm. Food available will include Burgers, Hot-dogs and Veggie Burgers, all served with options of onions on the side and a variety of sauces. Payment for the BBQ will be required in cash but the pub will be able to do ‘cash back’ if you’ve only got plastic.

There will be 9 local music acts performing as well who will be familiar to you if you’ve attended any recent Open Mic Nights at the Case. These acts include:

    • Max Wildwood
    • Brooke Telling
    • David Williams
    • Graham Welham
    • ‘Inside Out’ (aka Martin and Dave)
    • ‘Hipidi’ (aka Poppy and Dave)
    • Len and Jules
    • John Campbell and Dave Lingard
    • Chris Francis

If you’ve got an interesting vehicle you’d like to display, the organisers would be delighted to hear from you (though it would mean arriving a little earlier, at about 10.30 am). Contact them for more information at carsatthecase@gmail.com.

UPDATE 9/7/2026: This event was a great success with over 120 vehicles on display. To view some excellent photos of them, courtesy of Mike Whiteman, click here. Overall, the event raised a grand total of £1,664.08 for the Case Charity of the Year. Our thanks go out to everyone who contributed to this fantastic result.
