The Case has an a long main bar, with benches and tables set into the bay windows. The bar was made by a local craftsman as part of our 2015 refurbishment, and is finished with a light oak top.
To the rear, we have a smaller bar, which can be reserved for a function.
We also have a large airy dining room, known as the Garden Room, with patio doors providing views across the garden. This has a wood burner for the winter, making it a perfect place for a meal out. As with the rear room, this can be reserved for a function.
Outside, the pub has a large area of grass with trees for shade, benches and a fence, making it a safe place for children to run around. The pub is next door to the village play area, which has swings and climbing frames for children. There is a gate directly from the pub garden to the play area.
We have a large carpark to the rear of the pub, places to hitch your horse, and bicycles can be locked to the inside of the front fence. The new shop should have some “Sheffield” bike stands when it opens in July 2016.
There is level access to the pub and inside level access to a modern disabled toilet. The path from the carpark to the pub front, between the pub and shop, is paved, making it a good route for wheelchairs, prams and buggies.
Families with children are very welcome.
We have free WiFi available. We don’t have a TV, we much prefer a pub where people talk to each other! There is a darts board, and a number of games available. There are books for sale (proceeds towards pub refurbishment), and we have a large number of pictures on display and for sale from local artist Glynn Thomas.
Dogs on leads are also welcome, and are permitted in the bar area. Dogs are not permitted in the dining room.
We’re easy to find: 1 mile from the A12, and about 5 miles south of Ipswich.
